The sensor behind the app

The CTS Smart Kitchen Sensor mounts above the stove and uses thermal sensing, not a camera, to watch for unsafe cooking: a burner left unattended, temperatures climbing toward a fire, or immediate danger. It warns anyone nearby with voice alerts, alarms, and flashing lights, and with the CTS Power Cutoff it shuts the stove off on its own before a fire can start. The app is how you, and the people you care about, stay connected to it from anywhere.

Control the stove remotely

Remote control requires CTS Essentials Plus and the CTS Power Cutoff installed with your sensor.

Disable and lock One tap disables the stove and locks it to prevent accidental restarts. When you want to cook again, unlock from the app and press the button on the sensor to restore power. Nothing turns on without you.
Weekly schedules Set a recurring weekly schedule for when the stove should be disabled and locked, or unlocked and ready for use. The schedule enforces these cooking times automatically. During locked hours the sensor shows a calm blue light and announces when cooking will be available again.

Cooking status The sensor detects when a burner is heating and reports it to the app, along with the current surface temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit.

Alerts

The alerts that matter

The sensor watches the stove for these dangerous situations. It always warns on the device with voice and light alarms for free; receiving these alerts on your phone requires CTS Essentials Plus.

Dangerous temperature. The sensor tracks the stove temperature and predicts if it will reach an unsafe threshold, warning you before it happens.
Immediate danger. If the temperature reaches a threshold that can cause a cooking fire, the sensor alerts you so you can respond quickly.
Unattended cooking. If the stove stays on without anyone nearby for too long, the app lets you know. The hotter the cooking, the sooner it speaks up, and you can adjust the sensitivity.
Home temperature Plus When enabled, the sensor also watches the ambient temperature in the home and notifies you if it gets too hot or too cold.
Leaving home Plus Using your phone's location, the app knows if you have left the house with the stove still on and alerts you before you get too far, so you can shut it off from your phone or head back.

See that they are doing okay

Even when nothing is wrong, the app's monitoring view shows the everyday signs that someone is up, active, and cooking normally, reassurance between the safety alerts, without hovering. These insights are part of CTS Essentials Plus.

Last time cooking See when the stove was last used. A long stretch without a meal cooked can be an early sign to check in.
Last time present See when someone was last active at the kitchen, even when no alert has fired.
Activity and alerts heatmap A simple heatmap of when the kitchen is used and when alerts happen, so daily routines, and shifts in them, are easy to spot.
Trends over time Watch how cooking activity and safety events change week to week, so a gradual change does not go unnoticed.
