30-Day Return Window
You have 30 days from the date of delivery to initiate a return. To be eligible for a refund, your return must be requested within this window. After 30 days, all sales are final.
Eligibility and Condition Requirements
To qualify for a refund, items must be in new condition, meaning unused, uninstalled, and in the original undamaged packaging. All manuals, mounting hardware, and accessories must be included. Because our products are safety monitoring devices, units that have been physically installed (adhesive removed or bolted), registered, or activated on the CTS monitoring platform are ineligible for a full refund due to re-certification requirements.
Restocking Fee
To maintain our low prices and ensure every safety device we ship is fully certified for home use, a 20% restocking fee is deducted from all non-defective returns to cover safety inspection and repackaging.
Return Shipping Costs
For standard returns due to buyer's remorse, such as ordering by mistake, changing your mind, or the product not being the right fit, the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs. If your CTS Smart Sensor arrives defective or damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery. In these cases, we will provide a prepaid shipping label and offer either a full refund or a free replacement at no cost to you.
Non-Returnable Items
The following are strictly non-returnable: items returned more than 30 days after delivery, products purchased through third-party distributors or resellers, devices showing physical tampering, modification, or missing components, and items marked as Final Sale.
How to Return (RMA Required)
All returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Returns sent without an RMA will not be accepted. To request an RMA, email techsupport@cooktopsafety.com with your order number and photos of the unused product and packaging. Once approved, we will issue your RMA number and the return shipping address. We recommend using a trackable shipping service with insurance, as we are not liable for items lost or damaged during return transit. Please ship returns to:

Refund Processing
Once the returned device is received and inspected, which typically takes up to 7 business days, your refund will be issued to your original payment method. Please allow an additional 5 to 7 business days for the credit to appear. Please note that original shipping charges are non-refundable.
2-Year Limited Warranty
CookTop Safety Corporation warrants the CTS Smart Kitchen Sensor against defects in materials and workmanship for two years from the date of purchase. At our discretion, we will repair or replace any defective unit or component with a new or re-manufactured product of equal or greater value. If the original product is no longer available, a replacement of similar value will be provided.
This warranty is valid for the original purchaser from the date of initial purchase and is non-transferable. Please keep your original sales receipt, as proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty service. CTS dealers, service centers, and retail stores do not have the right to alter or modify the terms of this warranty.
What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from negligent use or misuse, use on improper voltage or current, failure to follow operating instructions, or disassembly, repair, or alteration by anyone other than CTS or an authorized service center. It also does not cover damage caused by natural disasters such as fire, flood, hurricanes, or tornadoes.
CTS is not liable for any incidental or consequential damages arising from the breach of any express or implied warranty. Any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is limited to the duration of this warranty to the extent permitted by applicable law. Some states and provinces do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary by state or province.
