Return & Refund Policy

At CooktopSafety.com, we stand behind the quality and reliability of the CTS Smart Kitchen Sensor system. To ensure transparency and protect our customers, we have established the following policy for all returns and refunds.

1. 30-Day Return Window

You have 30 days from the date of delivery to initiate a return. To be eligible for a refund, the return must be requested within this window. After 30 days, all sales are final.

2. Eligibility & Condition Requirements

To qualify for a refund, your item must meet the following strict safety criteria:

  • Condition: The item must be in "New" condition—unused, uninstalled, and in the original, undamaged packaging.

  • Completeness: All manuals, mounting hardware, and accessories must be included.

  • Safety Integrity: Because our products are safety monitoring devices, units that have been physically installed (adhesive removed or bolted) or registered or activated on the CTS monitoring platform are ineligible for a full refund due to re-certification requirements.

3. Restocking Fees

To maintain our low prices and ensure every safety device we ship is 100% certified for home use, we apply the following fees:

  • Standard Returns: A 20% restocking fee is deducted from all non-defective returns to cover safety inspection and repackaging.

4. Return Shipping Costs

  • Buyer’s Remorse: For all standard returns (e.g., "ordered by mistake," "changed mind," or "doesn't fit"), the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.

  • Defective or Damaged Items: If your CTS Smart Sensor arrives defective or damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery. In these cases, we will provide a prepaid shipping label and offer a full refund or a free replacement.

5. Non-Returnable Items

The following are strictly non-returnable:

  • Items returned more than 30 days after delivery.

  • Products purchased through third-party distributors or resellers.

  • Devices showing physical tampering, modification, or missing components.

  • Items marked as "Final Sale."

6. Return Process (RMA Required)

All returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Returns sent without an RMA will not be accepted.

  1. Request: Email support@cooktopsafety.com with your order number and photos of the unused product and packaging.

  2. Authorization: Once approved, we will issue an RMA number and the return shipping address.

  3. Ship: We recommend using a trackable shipping service with insurance. Mail the product to:

    We are not liable for items lost or damaged during the return transit.

7. Refund Processing

Once the returned device is received and inspected (typically within 7 business days):

  • Refunds will be issued to your original payment method.

  • Standard processing time is 5–7 business days for the credit to appear.

  • Note: Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

8. Governing Law

These terms and any disputes arising from your purchase shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the federal laws of the United States.
