How can I prevent a stove fire when I get distracted or busy?
The CTS Smart Kitchen Sensor watches for dangerous temperatures and unattended cooking and warns you with voice and light, and with the CTS Power Cutoff it shuts the stove off on its own if no one responds. It is a backup for the moments your attention slips, not a reason to leave the stove.
Is there an automatic shut-off for the stove?
Yes. Paired with the CTS Power Cutoff, the sensor shuts off power to the stove by itself when a warning goes unanswered. You restore power by pressing the button on the sensor once everything is safe.
Will it go off during normal cooking?
No. The sensor is built to tell normal high-heat cooking apart from dangerous or unattended cooking, so everyday searing and boiling will not trip it.
Is there a camera in my kitchen?
No camera. The sensor uses thermal sensing only. It reads heat, not images, and never records video or audio.
