It stops the smoke at the source
The CTS SmartMicro comes in two parts. The Control Box plugs in between the outlet and the microwave, and a small Magnetic Sensor sits on the microwave's exhaust vent and monitors it for heat or smoke. The moment it detects a problem, the Control Box cuts the microwave's power, before the smoke ever reaches the room's smoke detector. Once the air clears, it resets on its own. No hub, no app, no Wi-Fi.
