Look at the plug behind your stove and count the prongs. 4-prong is standard in homes built or rewired since 1996; 3-prong is common in older homes. Still unsure? Take a photo of your outlet and email info@cooktopsafety.com and we'll confirm before you order.
Before you order
Will it fit your kitchen?
The sensor mounts on the wall above the stove and needs a clear view down to the burners. Check these three things.
- ✓Mount 12 to 16 inches above the cooktop

Nothing blocking the line of sight between the sensor and the cooktop. - ✓At least 6 inches between the knobs and any microwave or hood
The sensor is 4 inches tall and needs about 2 inches of clearance below it, so leave at least 6 inches between the top of the control knobs and any microwave or range hood.
